Hawaii Marriage License

Obtaining your Hawaii Marriage License is easy. In order to expedite the marriage licensing process, please apply for your license online prior to your marriage license appointment. Upon doing so, an appointment with a Marriage Licensing Agent on Maui, can then be made.

Please note that if applying online, there will be a non-refundable $60.00 Marriage License Application Fee and a $5.00 Administration Fee that must be paid online via credit card to the State of Hawaii Department of Health. You will still need to meet with a Marriage Licensing Agent even if applying online to conclude the license application process. Your online application is good for 1 year. You may choose not to apply online, however this will delay the process and the $65.00 will then need to be paid directly to your Marriage Licensing Agent at the time of your appointment via cash.

A government issued photo ID is required (Driver’s License, Passport, State ID) and a $5.00 Agent Fee via cash, when meeting with the Marriage Licensing Agent. Your marriage license is valid for only 30 days.
